Customer Avatar (18A)

The utmost important aspect about the prototypical customer is that he/she must not have a dishwasher. A dishwasher renders my services completely useless.
This UF junior is rooming with three other students, one of whom he is close friends with. They initially started the semester with an agreement to split the chores amongst each other. However, inexplicably, the dishes and trash keep piling up. The duty keeps falling onto a select one of two roommates who heroically find the time to complete the chores. Let’s say that the heroes of the story are out of town, and the other roommates are just too lazy. They’d rather pay someone to fulfill the work instead. That’s where my service comes in. I walk in with all the cleaning gear necessary. I will observe their apartment filled with posters and Stig wrappers. They will play PS4 as finish the dishes and take out the trash (for an additional fee). I will ask them for feedback on my service and implore them to use the service in the future (don’t forget to spread the word).
So, I myself am very lazy. That’s the most I have in common with my avatar. I can say that I witness laziness all the time amongst my friends, and I also see people talk about being lazy on social media. It is no coincidence that my prototypical customer shares a resemblance to me since the service was based off of my unmet needs.

Tenacity (14A)

1)    For one, I learned that no matter what just keep looking at the course page every Monday and just do the work. As long as you make the post you get credit, so just complete it to the best of your ability.
2)    I’m currently a senior who has a job waiting until I graduate. If there’s a moment where I don’t want to do something, I’ll simply not do it. But, in general pulling through adversity is very satisfying and will ultimately make your attitude for future problems better.
3)    Definitely, embrace difficulty (life wasn’t meant to be easy). Failure isn’t a bad thing, it seems means you’ve become more likely to succeed in the future. Utilize your strengths in everything you do and find a way to work around your weaknesses.

Ray Kroc (13A)

1      The method for which Ray Kroc actually took over the company was very surprising. It was almost a hostile takeover. I admired his constant grind. Ray always strived to be successful, and when the opportunity arisen to be a part of McDonalds he jumped at it. He was unfortunately only every focused on personal success and not the betterment of his partners. Ray Kroc has always encountered adversity, and he simply listened to motivational speeches to keep him striving for success.
2      Ray Kroc exhibited extreme perseverance, hard work, salesmanship, and opportunity identification.
3      I didn’t find anything really confusing. The writing was straightforward and his motivations were pretty clear.
4      What about McDonalds stood as a potential for massive success that all his other business ventures didn’t express? Do you regret not including the McDonalds brothers in the operations of the company? I’m asking this because I want to be better at identifying good opportunities. I ask the second questions because I am genuinely curious.
5      He definitely saw hard work as a necessity for success. I think smart work is more important, but hard work needs to be a key aspect of your life at some point if you want to be successful.
