So, what interesting from my interviews is that people who
have the unmet need wouldn’t necessarily search for a solution. Which is
unfortunate. But, I considered the effect of social media, and the three people
I interviewed agreed it’d be a good idea if it worked out. I would simply
follow people on snapchat, Instagram, and twitter, and I would advertise they
simply need to direct message me or tag me in a post, and I’d be ready to clean
their dishes at a moment’s notice.
They are very well aware of the need, but don’t necessarily
consider paying someone to meet it. If I make them aware of a paid for service,
that’s easy and quick to call on, then it might work.
I liked how you were able to adapt to the feedback of your interviews, when they stated that they were aware of the need, but aren't in search of a solution. In which, going to social media is a great platform of advertising your business service, and making your targeted market more aware.
ReplyDeleteHey Mitchell,
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you incorporated social media into your business idea, as I think that is the most successful form of marketing for your particular business idea. I know that you would get a lot of business from lazy college kids who would rather spend money than do the chores themselves.
Hi Mitch,
ReplyDeleteI think using social media is the best way to advertise for your business because it is such a powerful tool with college students. I think it is interesting that they won't find a solution for their unmet need. I like to get my dishes cleaned right away because I don't like having roaches.
What a genius idea, to use social media to get your results. Nowadays you can find all sort of people on social media, especially young people such as students. I do find it interesting that they themselves do not find a solution especially with the consequences of not doing so. I personally had a case where someone left their dishes too long in the sink and then attracted flies.
