Hello, my name is Mitchell Zitsbank. I like to consider
myself an intellectual, and my skills involve being a fast learner and a
creative problem solver. The original idea for the business was to simply have
me go to people homes to clean their dishes when they are feeling lazy. If the
business where to grow, I imagine there would be multiple employees either
doing many chores or each person specializing in a single chore and we work as
a team.
The ability to finish their chores when they are lazy.
Initially that means having them be able to use clean dishes when they need to
without the need of a dishwasher.
My customers are lazy. Lazy or simply overworked. That’s why
I like the student demographic so much, because they can be both.
If there is enough convenience, they would definitely pay me
money.
I mean I don’t have anything proprietary. I simply have the
willingness to enter people homes and finish chores that they themselves don’t want
to currently do. I mean no one else is really offering that service in
Gainesville.
Definitely who I am as a person doesn’t really match the
business idea. Especially considering I have a job waiting for me after college
that I am excited for. So that fact is the out-of-joint with the success of the
business. But everything else fits together quite nicely.
I liked how you were aware that there isn't any service like this in Gainesville, and that you're target customers are lazy, therefore you should focus on the student demographic. Being aware of these factors, will allow you to limit your intended market, and expanding upon that depending on if your business grows, as you mentioned. Overall, I agree that if there is enough convenience the students will pay for this service, because I think that it is a service that a lot of students will end up needing here.

ReplyDeleteI really like your idea and I think that it would be a great business to have here in Gainesville. I think that you would be very successful here or in any college town as college students are usually not the most chore oriented group of people. Your idea is certainly very creative and I commend you for thinking of it as a business idea because of its uniqueness.

ReplyDeleteI think you are definitely a creative problem solver. I wouldn't have thought to make money off of college students being lazy or overworked that they can't do their dishes. I like how you included that college students might simply be overworked because not everyone is lazy. I think your idea is really creative.
I agree, students such as myself are lazy when it comes to cleaning the house or doing house chores in general. Looking into my room it is clear that we need to do a early spring cleaning. That's why I like the idea to start a cleaning service for students. Students are a good choice for prime targets.
